Some Other Networks RPC
Metamask is a popular browser extension that allows users to interact with Ethereum-based decentralized applications (dApps) and manage their Ethereum wallets. By default, Metamask only supports the Ethereum mainnet, but it’s also possible to add custom networks, such as testnets or sidechains.
Adding Mumbai RPC, Polygon testnet Network RPC, and Matic Testnet Network RPC to Metamask is a simple process that can be done in just a few steps. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
Step 1: Open Metamask
Open Metamask in your browser by clicking on the Metamask icon in the top right corner of your browser window. If you haven’t installed Metamask yet, you can do so by visiting the Metamask website and following the installation instructions.
Step 2: Open Settings
Once you have Metamask open, click on the three dots in the top right corner of the Metamask window and select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Select “Networks”
In the Settings menu, select “Networks” from the options listed on the left-hand side.
Step 4: Add a new network
To add a new network, click on the “Add Network” button located at the bottom of the list of networks.
Step 5: Enter network details
In the “Network Name” field, enter the name of the network you want to add. For Mumbai RPC, enter “Mumbai Testnet Network”. For Polygon testnet Network RPC, enter “Polygon Testnet Network”. For Matic Testnet Network RPC, enter “Matic Testnet Network”.
In the “New RPC URL” field, enter the RPC endpoint for the network you want to add.
For Mumbai RPC, enter “https://rpc-mumbai.matic.today“.
For Polygon testnet Network RPC, enter “https://rpc-mumbai.maticvigil.com“.
For Matic Testnet Network RPC, enter “https://rpc-mumbai.matic.today“.
In the “Chain ID” field, enter the chain ID for the network you want to add. For Mumbai RPC, enter “80001”. For Polygon testnet Network RPC, enter “137”. For Matic Testnet Network RPC, enter “15001”.
In the “Symbol” field, enter the symbol for the network you want to add. For Mumbai RPC, enter “MATIC”. For Polygon testnet Network RPC, enter “MATIC”. For Matic Testnet Network RPC, enter “MATIC”.
In the “Block Explorer URL” field, enter the URL for the block explorer for the network you want to add. For Mumbai RPC, enter “https://mumbai.polygonscan.com“. For Polygon testnet Network RPC, enter “https://explorer-mumbai.maticvigil.com“. For Matic Testnet Network RPC, enter “https://mumbai-explorer.matic.today“.
Step 6: Save network details
Once you have entered all the details for the network you want to add, click on the “Save” button to save the network details.
Step 7: Switch to new network
To switch to the new network, select it from the list of networks in the Metamask window. You should now be able to interact with dApps and manage your wallet on the new network.
That’s it! You’ve successfully added Mumbai RPC, Polygon testnet Network RPC, and Matic Testnet Network RPC to Metamask. With these networks added, you can now test your dApps and smart contracts
