Coinstar has made it easy to get rid of your loose change by adding their kiosks to thousands of grocery stores across the United States, but what if you don’t have time to visit one of those locations? When you’re on the go, sometimes you don’t have the luxury of visiting a Coinstar kiosk at your local grocery store, and sometimes you’re not even near one. Don’t worry; there are other options for cashing in on all your change.
Checking the Coinstar website
The Coinstar website allows you to check locations by zip code. Enter your zip code and press enter. The map will show you all of the available Coinstar locations in your area, and if you click on a location, it will provide directions. You can also call the customer service number at 1-800-922-4117 for assistance with finding a location near you. For some reason, I couldn’t get the map to work using my computer’s internet browser so I contacted customer service and they were able to help me find the closest location.
Searching Google Maps
You can also search for a Coinstar location on Google Maps. It will provide a map with all of the nearby locations, making it easy to find which one is closest to you. Simply enter coinstar near me into the search bar and then select your preferred location from the drop-down menu that appears. There’s even a feature that will allow you to get directions from your current address (or another address if you’re not at home) right there on Google Maps! The machine detects the type of coin inserted by default; when users insert coins, they are given a receipt which lists their total value in U.S. dollars.

What does ‘rounding up’ mean? The cashier gives an example – if you insert 1 cent or 4 quarters, the cashier will give you 5 quarters or 50 cents back.
When does it cost more? Whenever customers insert $1 or more worth of coins at once, they must pay for them in full before receiving their change.

Here’s how you can find the closest Coinstar location using GPS. First, open your map app of choice and type in coinstar. Alternatively, you can search for coinstar near me on Google Maps. Once you’ve got your list of locations, click on any one to get directions from your current location.
